Jonathan Colton Loomis (1785-1864), a cabinetmaker of Whately, Massachusetts, served in the Massachusetts Militia.

Jonathan Loomis was a carpenter and was involved in some weaving. Born Oct. 18, 1785 in Whately, Massachusetts, he was the son of Abner and Zilpah Loomis. In 1810 he married Electa Stockbridge. He served in the War of 1812. Loomis died in 1864.
