Sabaroff, Albert R.
During World War II, Col. Albert R. Sabaroff was the Troop Commander of the American unit responsible for the capture of Heidenheim, Germany, and was in Heidenheim during the 1946 establishment of a displaced persons camp for Jewish and Polish survivors of the Holocaust. Sabaroff also served as a junior staff officer under Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower. Sabaroff is now retired from the military and resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
