Curlett, William.

William Curlett (1845-1914) was born in Ireland and studied architecture in Dublin before he made his way to San Francisco by 1871. He went on to become one of the original members of the State Board of Architecture and was a fellow of the American Institute of Architects, according to the San Diego Historical Society. His buildings can be found throughout the state, with San Francisco a particular favorite. Curlett's 1409 Sutter Mansion survived both the 1906 quake and fire. Several of Curlett's building still stand in San Francisco.
