Folk dance performer and teacher.

Moved to San Francisco in 1935 and became active in the revival of folk dancing. Assisted in founding the first folk dance federation. During the forties, fifties, and sixties, appeared with various folk dancing ensembles and taught folk dancing for recreation programs throughout the Bay Area. Also performed with such theatrical companies as the Savoy Light Opera Company, the Sherry Players, the American Theatre Wing, and the Menlo Amigos. Between 1953 and 1971, taught folk and ballroom dancing courses at San Francisco State University.
