McDaniel, Benjamin F.
A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Benjamin F. McDaniel fought in the Union Army during the Civil War. Initially a drummer for his regiment, McDaniel eventually fought in the first Battle of Bull Run and well as the Red River campaign in Louisiana in 1864.
