The Alumni Association was founded on Sept. 26, 1893 by 48 graduates meeting at the New York Hospital on West 15th Street, for the mutual benefit of its members, their improvement in professional work, the establishment of a Fund for Sick Nurses, and a systematic method of registration. The association no longer provides shelter and sick relief to its members.
