Association of Evangelical Lutheran Churches (U.S.). Partners in Mission.
See AELC 9.
In addition to carrying out its own duties as a not-for-profit organization, Partners in Mission (PIM) became the residual organization for the Lutheran Medical Mission Association (LMMA) after its dissolution in 1982. PIM was responsible for LMMA business matters that arose after the dissolution, and also for the disbursement, between three predetermined organizations, of funds bequeathed to LMMA. Not all LMMA records are contained in this collection. The majority of records prior to 1979 are kept in the archives at the Concordia Historical Institute, St. Louis, Missouri.
