Stanley S. Slotkin (1905-1997) was a Southern California businessman. He co-owned a chain of part supply and medical equpiment renalt stores called "Abbey Rents" with his brother, Milton. Slotkin was an amateur archaeologist and engaged in philanthropic activities, including donating antiquarian books and book leaves to churches, museums, and libraries.

Stanley S. Slotkin, founder of Abbey Rents Co., Los Angeles, traveled around the world to collect facsimiles of title pages of rare books to which he attached pages from the actual work. He also annotated the specimens in English in order to show their significance or to explain their contents.
