Vanderhorst, Elias, 1825-1850.
U.S. Navy Midshipman. He was the son of Elias Vanderhorst (1791-1874), a plantation owner of St. Bartholomew Parish (S.C.), and Ann Elliott Morris Vanderhorst. Elias Vanderhorst died at Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) on March 17, 1850.
