Hughes, Glyn, 1935-
Glyn Hughes, the West Yorkshire poet, novelist, and playwright, was born in Middlewich, Cheshire, in 1935 and educated at Altrincham Grammar School and the Regional College of Art, Manchester. He taught art and liberal studies at schools and colleges in Lancashire and Yorkshire until 1972, since when he has been a free lance writer. He has won several prizes for his novels, and has also written stage plays and verse plays for radio.
