Architect, city planner, critic.

Weinberg lived and worked primarily in New York City, where he was born. He had his own company, Robert C. Weinberg and Associates, but also worked for many other public and private organizations including the New York City Commission for City Planning,New York City Dept. of Parks, and the Dept. of Public Administration at New York University. Along with this practical work, he taught at many local colleges and universities, and delivered a twice weekly radio show on WNYC in which he discussed architecture.

He was involved in community affairs in Greenwich Village, where he lived, and was an active member of Local Planning Board #2.
