Bill Durham submitted materials on the Spanish period of Washington State. Mr. Durham had done quite a bit of research on this period of Washington State's history. He was trying to promote this period and have it included in the 1992 celebration of of the Columbus Quincentary, the Bicentennial of Neah Bay Spanish Settlement and Gray's and Vancouver's voyages, and the sesquicentennial of the Wilkes expedition. Mr. Durham had even sent several mailings to Spain to promote cultural interests.
