Documentation of the Glover family of Arkansas begins with Captain Eli Glover (1786-1858). Eli Glover married twice. His second wife was Lucy Seymour Fish (1798-1829); and the children, Cynthia Maria Glover (1823- ), Eli Seymour Glover (1825-1878). Eli Glover married Rebecca Mathews Meriwether (1827-1851), and the children were Sarah [Sallie] Broddus Glover (1848-1926), Rebecca Meriwether Glover (1850-1897), Emily Fish Glover (1826-1854), and Lucy Catherine Glover (1828-1857).
