Lobner family.
Genealogy notes, family history and interviews with members of Perkins, Soule and Harmon families were gathered by Joyce E. Lobner and Hope Lobner Cahill. Family came to Colfax, Calif. during Gold Rush. Morris Lobner (1849-1917) married Jeannie Kendall Perkins there in 1890. They had two daughters, Joyce and Hope. Family ran a general merchandise store in Colfax. Morris Lobner was visiting San Francisco at time of Earthquake and Fire (1906) and describes scene in correspondence to family. Papers also include biography of Lulu Anna Shelton, Oakland schoolteacher, by Joyce E. Lobner.
