Jacobs family

Lionel M. and Barron M. Jacobs were brothers, merchants, and bankers; sent to Tucson in 1867, to establish a retail store in association with their father, Mark I. Jacobs of San Francisco. The M.I. Jacobs and Co. changed to L.M. Jacobs and Co. in 1875. They closed the store in 1880; in 1879, they established the Pima County Bank and proceeded to operate several banks in Pima and Cochise Counties until their retirement in 1913.
