Farmers & Mechanicks Debating Society of Montgomery (Montgomery, N.Y.)
The Farmers & Mechanicks Debating Society of Montgomery, New York, adopted a constitution on February 11, 1823, and met weekly until at least January 1825. In December 1840, a group of Montgomery residents adapted the constitution of the old debating society and created the Good-Will Debating Society, in the Town of Montgomery. This group met weekly until at least January 1846.
