Baum, Werner Ludwig
Variant namesWerner was born on June 19, 1913 in Oberlangenstadt, Germany. He was 19 when Hitler came to power. He left Germany in April 1933. He rode his bike all across Germany to the western side. He later went to Switzerland, France, and then finally to the U.S. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II. His brother arrived in the U.S. in 1934. His parents left Germany in June 1941.
