Worsley Family
These papers form the collected correspondence, genealogical records and family papers of several branches of the Worsley Family. The family were originally based in Worsley in Lancashire, Gloucestershire and Hertfordshire. The papers date from the Restoration to the twentieth century, and cover a variety of topics and correspondents. Philip John Worsley was Vice-Chairman of University College, Bristol, and a generous benefactor in the early days of the University of Bristol. The Chemistry Department Library is named the Worsley Library in his honour.
