Amvrossy, Bishop of Pittsburgh and West Virginia.
Amvrossy (Merejko) was born in Russia, came to America in 1923 and was ordained a priest in 1939. In addition to being a parish preist, he served in various administrative positions in the Church including treasurer and archivist. He served as Bishop of Alaska (1955-1966) and Bishop of Pittsburgh and West Virginia (1967-1972).
