Verstille family.
William Verstille was a miniaturist and portrait painter who worked in Philadelphia, New York City, and Connecticut during the late 18th century. Collection items reveal that Peter Verstille, a merchant from Hartford, CT, and his wife, Naomi, were probably William's parents.
