Lisco, Hermann.

Hermann Lisco, 1910-2000, MD, University of Berlin, an experimental pathologist in the fields of cancer research and radiation, served as Associate Professor of Anatomy and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Student Affairs at Harvard Medical School. Lisco participated in the Manhattan Project at the University of Chicago where he studied the biological effects of plutonium on humans. In 1945 Lisco performed the first autopsy of a person killed by acute radiation poisoning at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
