Lyons, J. M. J.
J. (possibly John M.) M. J. Lyons enlisted in the U.S. Naby in November, 1880, in San Francisco, California. Serving aboard the Independence and later the Wachusett, his tour of duty included stops in Sitka (Alaska), Wrangell (Alaska), and other Alaskan coastal ports. He also visited Hawaii and the South Pacific. In his diary he notes his birthday as April 1, but no year is given.
