Albert Domino was born in "the Bottoms," a south Baton Rouge, Louisiana neighborhood on 1 December 1924. Domino grew up with his parents, Benjamin Domino and Geraldine Warren, from Point Coupee Parish, and his five sisters (Madeline, Teresa, Ronnie, Avis, and Agnes) and brother (Alec). He attended the old McKinley High School on East Blvd. and lived in Baton Rouge until the age of eighteen when he joined the army. In 1946, he left the army and returned to Baton Rouge, where he found work at the Audubon Post Office on Government St. He worked there until his retirement.
