Lee, Cazenove Gardner, 1882-1945
Variant namesThe bulk of this material relateds to the Turberville family of Hickory Hill and Peckatone in Westmoreland County, Va. George Turberville was a justice, sheriff, and later clerk of the court. He was married three times; his third wife, Martha, was the daughter of Richard Lee (of London) and Martha Silk. Their youngest child, George Richard, was born in 1742 shortly after his father's death.
In 1769, George Richard married Martha Corbin, the only child of Gawin Corbin and Hannah Lee. Gawin inherited the Peckatone property from his uncle. When he died in 1760, he left his estate to his wife and daughter. George Richard and Martha had two sons, Gawin Corbin and Richard Lee.
