Echeandía, Manuel, 1783-1850.
Manuel de Echeandia served as chief officer of the Treasury in 1807 and as an active participant in the Revolution of 1810. He served under Simon Bolivar in the Campaign of New Granada and in the Battles of Borbona and Boyaca. In 1821 de Echeandia was appointed Secretary of the Treasury and in 1830 President of the National Treasury.
