Fifty-second Illinois Infantry Veterans Volunteer Association.
Organization formed in 1868 for the men who served in the 52nd Infantry Regiment, organized in Geneva, Ill during the Civil War. Lt. Colonel John S. Wilcox took over command of the Regiment in December 1861 and continued in that role until he resigned in February 1864. He later served as president of the veterans association for many years. The association disbanded in 1923.
