Charles Macon Wesson (b. July 23, 1878, St. Louis, Mo.-d. Nov. 24, 1956), Major General in the U.S. Army, was commissioned in the cavalry when he graduated from West Point in 1900. He served with the 8th Cavalry in Cuba and as an instructor at the U.S. Military Academy before serving with the American Expeditionary Force during World War I. He later was appointed assistant military attaché in the United Kingdom and chief of the technical staff, office of the chief of ordnance from 1930 to 1934. During the Second World War, he was chief of ordnance and was assigned duty in the office of the Lend-Lease Administrator and the Foreign Economic Administrator. He retired in December 1945.
