The Association of Records Managers and Administrators Inc. (ARMA), is a non-profit management association formed on July 1, 1975 as successor to the American Records Management Association and the Association of Records Executives and Administrators. Its objectives are: to promote a scientific interest in records and information management; to provide a forum for research and the exchange of ideas and knowledge; to foster professionalism; to develop and promulgate workable standards and practices; and to furnish a source of records and information management guidance.
