The Southeast Dairy Foods Research Center (SDFRC), founded in 1988, is one of six national centers funded and managed by Dairy Management, Inc., a non-profit organization formed in 1995 by the National Dairy Board and the United Dairy Industry Association. The SDFRC supports basic and applied research relating to dairy products and nutrition, specifically in regard to the processing of milk into dairy products with improved health, safety, and quality.
