Worrell, Dorothy, 1892-1983
Variant namesJournalist, local historian, and author, Dorothy Worrell was born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1892. She earned an A.B. from Radcliffe (1915) majoring in economics and government, and also earned certificates from the Henry George School of Social Science (1919), Portia Law School (1919), and Babson Institute (1920). An active member of the League of Women Voters and Boston's Municipal Affairs Committee, she authored three books on civic life in Boston. She died in Braintree, Massachusetts in 1983.
