Denver, Northwestern, and Pacific Railway
Variant namesCompany incorporated July 18, 1902 to build a railroad west from Denver, Colo. directly through the Colorado Rockies. Often called the "Moffat Road" for its president David H. Moffat. After going into receivership, renamed Denver and Salt Lake Railroad Company 1913. Eventually merged into the corporate structure of Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad Company 1947.
