Val Lorwin
The largest international organization of free trade-unions the International Confederation of Free Trade-Unions, (ICFTU) includes affiliated unions in 94 countries. The ICFTU was formed in 1949, when it seceded from the World Federation of Trade Unions in protest of the alleged communist orientation of that body. ICFTU headquarters are in Brussels.
