Mr. William and Mrs. Frances Noyes Leffingwell lived in San Francisco in 1853.

Henry L. Leffingwell, whose wife had died at Fort Laramie in 1852, lived in San Francisco in 1853. His two daughters, Emily and Lucy, were sent to their grandparents in Cleveland.

Christopher Starr Leffingwell attended Trinty College in 1854 and the Berkeley Divinity School, was rector in Fairfield, Connecticut in 1859, and a rector in Gardiner, Maine in 1876.
