Sumterville Library Society (Sumter, S. C.)
Library society of Sumterville (now Sumter), S.C.; organization founded by Col. John Blount Miller (1782-1851), a proponent of education, an attorney, the first notary public (1805) of Sumter District, orator and writer, lieutenant-colonel in the War of 1812, and master in equity for Sumter District (1817-1851).
