Frank Carlos Griffith began his career on the Boston stage, but was best known as a theatrical manager, most notably of Lillie Langtry's tours from 1888 to 1890, and of the Mrs. Fiske Company, a theater company founded by Minnie Maddern Fiske, circa 1897 to 1924. He also served as the curator of the Poland Springs Art Gallery in Maine circa 1893 to 1900.
