Allen Macy Dulles (b. Aug. 19, 1854, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania- d. Nov. 13, 1930, Auburn, New York) was a Presbyterian minister and teacher of theology. He married Edith Foster, daughter of John Watson Foster, who was Secretary of State from 1892-1893. Their children included John Foster Dulles, Secretary of State from 1953-1959; Allen Welsh Dulles, Director of Central Intelligence from 1953-1961; and Eleanor Lansing Dulles, economist and diplomat. Their other two daughters were Margaret Dulles Edwards and Nataline Dulles Seymour.

Allen Macy Dulles, Jr. (b. Jan. 22, 1930, New York City) was the son of Allen Welsh Dulles and Clover Todd Dulles. He was named for his paternal grandfather. While serving with the Marines in Korea in 1952, Dulles sustained a severe brain injury which left him permanently disabled. He was awarded the Silver Star Medal for valor.
