Universalist Church of America. Dept. of Education.
The Department of Education superseded the General Sunday School Association. Its establishment was approved at the Universalist General Assembly in 1947. Horton Colbert became the first director in July 1948. In 1954 the Department merged with the American Unitarian Association Division of Education into the Council of Liberal Churches.
