Joseph Kaighn was a Quaker who lived in Gloucester County, New Jersey. He is often associated with Joshua Evans (1731-1798) and Haddonfield Monthly Meeting. Kaign was born approximately 1734 to John and Hannah Mickle. In 1767, he married Prudence Butcher (d.1818); the couple had a son named Joseph. He died May 18, 1797 aged 63 years.
