He was married to Phebe LaFrance and they had the following children: Maria Slocum (who married Dr. Silas B. Robinson), Ruth Slocum (who married Henry Stark), Frances Slocum (who married Samuel T. Nicholson), and Thomas Truxton Slocum (who married Ann F. Dennis). Ebenezer Slocum (1766-1832), also son of Jonathan, was born in Warwick Twp., RI and moved to Deep Hollow in 1798. He married Sarah Davis and they had thirteen children: Ruth Slocum (married to Elisha Hitchcock), Sidney Slocum (married to Jane LaFrance); Ebenezer Slocum (married to Sarah Mills); Benjamin Slocum (married to Matilda Griffen), Joseph Slocum (married to Edilda Bingham), Samuel Slocum (married to Mary Dingo), Thomas Slocum (married to Sarah Jenkins), Sarah Slocum (married to Alvah Heermans), Charles Slocum, William Slocum (married to Jane Lockwood), Mary Slocum, Esther Slocum (married to Lester Bristol), and Giles Slocum (married to Sarah Decker).
