Bertha Georgie Hyde-Lees (known as "George" by her family) was born in 1892, in England. She married Irish poet W. B. Yeats in 1917. They had two children together, Anne and Michael. After the deaths of her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Corbet and Lily Yeats, she took over running their business, Cuala Press. After W. B.'s death in 1939, she served as his literary executor. She died in 1968.
