Eugene Potter and Alison Palmer worked for Winsted Silk Company. When Alison moved his family to Elgin, Illinois, he was employed by Collingbourne Silk. Lawrence Potter served with the Red Cross following World War I. Louise Potter married Alison Palmer. Their daughter Florence, a graduate of Elmira College, spent two years teaching at a missionary school in Iran. She was married for a short time to George Wilcox, who served in the military during World War II.
