Christian Peter Christiansen (1838-1918) practiced plural marriage.

Christian Peter Christiansen was born on 18 August 1838 in Lindholm, Aalborg, Denmark. On 30 October 1860 he married Kirstine Marie Murman in Veggerby, Denmark. In subsequent years he came to Utah where he practiced plural marriage and wed 4 additional women. In 1887 he served time in the Utah Territory Penitentiary for violation of the Edmunds-Tucker Act which prohibited the practice of plural marriage as well as cohabitation. Christian P. Christiansen died on 20 July 1918 in Monroe, Sevier, Utah.
