Michigan. Corrections Commission
Created by Public Act 255 of 1937. The commission was responsible for the administration of prisons, prison industries and prisoner parole and probation. This commission also appointed the director of the Michigan Department of Corrections. In 1991, the Commission ceased to exist under Executive Reorganization Order 1991-12. Its duties were transferred to the Department of Corrections.
