Wattle Grove Press was founded in Australia by Viennese immigrant Rolf Hennequel, to publish his own work and the work of other writers. The press has published work by Rodney Hall, Dorothy Hewitt, as well as Hennequel, sometimes using the pseudonym Albin Eiger; many of the publications have a classical theme. Wattle Grove Press was more concerned with the contents of a book than with its appearance. Some thirty books were published before illness forced the closure of the press in 1969.
