Tracy Irwin Storer (1889-1973) was the founder of the Department of Zoology at the University of California, Davis. In 1923 he joined the faculty at UC Davis as Assistant Professor of Zoology and Assistant Zoologist in the Experiment Station. He was the sole faculty member until expansion occurred in 1935.
