Judge David F. Matchett, Sr. (1867-1946) was a lawyer and judge who served for many years on the Illinois Appellate Court. His son, David F. Matchett, Jr. (1910-1974) practiced law in suburban Northfield (Ill.) until his death in 1974. He ran for judge of the Superior Court of Cook County in 1959 and lost.
