Sarah Louise Rogers Clarke (d.1906) was a member of the Torrey Botanical Club from 1891-1906. She maintained a large herbarium consisting of her collections in the Adirondacks and materials which she purchased. Much of this herbarium was donated to the New York Botanical Garden. A large part of her mosses were given to Washington University. She was married to Samuel Belcher Clarke, a lawyer who was a principal in the firm of Root and Clarke in New York City. They lived at 1 W. 81st St. They had two children, Edith Cornelia and Roger Henry. Both Clarkes died in 1906.
