Dickson, David, 1818-1880.
David Catchings Dickson (1818-1880) was a physician and a politician who moved to Anderson in Montgomery County (now in Grimes County), Texas in 1841. He was a surgeon in the army of the Republic of Texas, a justice of the peace, a member of the Texas Legislature, a local militia soldier in the Civil War, financial agent for Huntsville Penitentiary and Lieutenant Governor.
