Erma Johnson Kyle, born in 1892, was the daughter of Frank Bivens Johnson. Frank Bivens Johnson was born in Mankato, Minnesota, in 1862, moved to Brainerd, Minnesota, in 1882, and died in 1902. He was the son of Parsons King Johnson, who was born in 1816, who resided in Rockford, Illinois, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, and St. Paul, Minnesota, before moving to Mankato in 1852, and who died in 1907, Parsons King Johnson was the son of Charles Johnson (1774-1859), who married Eunice King. Eunice King (1786-1831) was the daughter of Simeon King and Mary Carver, who in turn was the daughter of Jonathan Carver. Another child of Simeon King and Mary Carver King was Jonathan Parsons King (1794-circa 1860), who went west from Brandon, Vermont in 1817 to explore the Jonathan Carver Claim and who later settled in Mackinac, Michigan.
