Born June 15, 1863, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Educated at the University of Toronto Trinity College, graduating in 1887 with a bachelor's degree in medicine, an M.D., and a master's in surgery. Did postgraduate work in pediatrics and urogenital diseases in London. Opened a private practice in Portland, Oregon, in 1889, and joined the staff of the University of Oregon Medical School shortly afterwards. Retired as Professor Emeritus of Urology in 1938. Died Nov. 1, 1952.
